TomTom Signs Deals w/Fiat and Toyota

The stock got a nice bump today with these announcements. They are on a roll having just signed a deal with Intel's Telmap and renewing with Mitac.

Tomtom as partnered with Fiat & Toyota for quite some time now.

I think the bump is because HD traffic capability is becoming standard on most (all?) European Toyota models. That would be a huge win for initial sales and ongoing subscriptions.

 
Americans, do you want to have to throw away all your existing GPS devices, and be forced to buy newer more expensive ones? If not, contact Congress and the FCC, see here.

Tomtom just announced a deal with Mercedes - that's a huge new win and likely to be another huge stock pop....

It's still quite annoying that none of these manufacturers (other than Fiat & Mazda) are moving Tomtom technology to the USA.

This is just for traffic. Toyota uses Harman in Europe for the gps from what I have read.

TomTom has a prior relationship with Toyota for in-dash units in Europe. Prices are insane, though:
