Rider V2 BT Mazda 6 Sports

Can any one tell me if my Motorcycle v2 Tom Tom Rider can connect via the 2010 Mazda 6 blue tooth system. I can connect my HT Desire mobile to the Mazda and this works fine through the car speakers. I have tried to make blue tooth connection between the Mazda and the Rider v2 but it fails to find the device. The rider v2 does connect to the HT Desire and I have no problem with the Scala blue tooth connection on the helmets.
Before I invest in a car windscreen mount including separate speaker is there a simple solution,.
