Hi

Does anyone know if mains chargers are universal for all TomTom sat navs?

I see. I was more referring to my father having an old TomTom charger from approx 5 years ago???? Would that fit do you think?

Hi Phill, dhn,

Methinks a charger with a mini usb connection will not be good for the Go910 (and possibly the other Gox10 series) owing to the "proprietory" connection method. The chargers for those, if memory serves, were a conventional plug/socket arrangement, but I can't remember if the charger had a tip and sleeve plug or the (now) more usual sleeved socket arrangement. That said, you won't be able to charge a TT that has a mini USB port connection with a Go910 charger nor vice versa.

Or is my memory playing tricks...again?

No, you're quite right.
Old TomToms didn't use the USB connection for powering, so the chargers had 'normal' DC power connectors like this





Both are still available on the UK TomTom website.
