TT rider 2 car mount ???

I just got the TT R2 a few weeks ago & was thinking about getting a car docking kit . I have been reading about the problems people been having with the car mount . Has TT taken care of these problems or not also does the car kit come with a lighter plug power cord & does the power plug into the bottom of the docking unit like it does on the MC docking unit ?
