One - Power Up

I have had a One for about a year. Recently, it has lost is ability to turn on unless it has an external power source. My thinking was that the battery was dead. I can charge it overnight and it will not power on. If I have the power source attached, turn it on, then remove the power source there is no LOW BATTERY indicator and it will run on the battery. If I turn it off, it will not start back up, unless it has external power supply.

Any clues?

Try a pin reset. That MAY help. If not, try the Clear flash found here: http://www.tomtom.com/support/index....Lid=4&nostat=1

and if that doesn't work, perhaps 'restore to factory settings'. Make a full Explorer backup prior to using that choice, though.
