hello everyone

a friend of mine gave me a Tom Tom One v4...i've never used a GPS before, but in my job field (residential appraiser) i'm wondering if it can come in handy...

in my job, i will go to a house (subject), inspect, and then drive by 5-10 other houses and get pics of them.

what i want to know is, is there a way of inputting all of these addresses into the TomTom (preferably from my computer), and letting it guide me by ,say, the shortest route? can i prioritize the subject as the 1st address to go to and then all the comps by shortest distance?

thanks

I believe what you are looking for is 'route optimization' and I'm afraid no TomTom models have that capability.

As dhn already said, unfortunately that is nothing ready for that (high on the new features wanted list).

The only time consuming work around I see it that you use Google maps on your computer to look for those places to get your bearing. Then, connected with HOME, make a new POI category and name it _TU 9th or something like that. The start with the _ (underscore is very important as it will get you to the top of the list when searching).
Also pick a BMP with the identical name you choose (except for the extension).
You then make a custom POI for each of the addresses for the working day.
All this can be done on the computer.

One thing to be remembered with POIs, they are sorted by distance to your current location.
That's where the Google map overlook comes in handy.

In addition to that work around you may want to try this as it is supposed to give you proper route optimisation.
I looks very good.
I have now tried it on an actual route myself and it works brilliantly!
